Q - Why do you do this site ?

A- Because I love the history of sports in my home town. I always thought that there should be a website with information about every major and minor league team that played in Cincinnati. I also love researching the teams and uncovering juicy facts that have been lost or forgotten.

Q - Are any of the teams listed here affiliated with your site ?

A - No.

Q - Why are the graphics on this site so bland ?

A - Quite honestly the graphics on this site are so bland because I don't have the time or the desire to work up neat graphics right now.  I consider the content of the site to be more important. So adding and updating content is the priority. Maybe sometime down the road I will do a major overhaul of the look.

Q - Will you be adding articles, game summaries and box scores for all of the teams ?

A - Regrettably the answer is no. I am a one man operation and it would be impossible to do every team. If I am motivated, I can get a season completed in about three months. The cost in doing the research also adds up. It adds up to about 100 dollars for one season. Not to mention the regular costs I have to spend in order to keep the sites up and running. Until I have other volunteers to help with the site, I will be selective in what teams I decide to do. So right now the only teams that I have focused on are the Cincinnati Stingers and the Cincinnati Kellys.

Q - Why the Cincinnati Stingers and Cincinnati Kellys ?

A - I first started archiving articles & game summaries with the Stingers because I simply took an interest in our city's only major league hockey team. It was "the kick" that I was on last year. That site is still incomplete and I am kind of tired or working on it. But I'll eventually get it completed.

As for the Kelly's, I picked them because the team only lasted one year (1891). It would be a quick and easy one to complete. Plus when I make copies of Kellys articles, I am also printing off Cincinnati Reds articles from that same season. I can get two teams for the price of one.

I also picked the Kellys because they have a place in my heart.  The club played in East End and I had four generations of family that lived in East End. If you have ever heard of East End Cafe, my family founded that business in 1887 and it was in my family until 1973.

Q - What other teams are you planning to do ?

A - I have tinkered a bit with the Cincinnati Royals, Reds, Outlaw Reds, Bengals and Mohawks. But I have no immediate plans to do any of them. The Reds have more than a 130 years of history, the Bengals have almost 40 years, the Royals had 15 and the Mohawks had 9. It would be impossible for me to complete these teams. However, I'd love to try and work up my Cincinnati Royals website. I also may pick certain years from the Reds & Bengals to archive.

Q - I've noticed the grammar on your site is not always the best ?

A - That is correct. I do not claim to be the best writer. I am always looking for people to edit the content. Those who do, I will give you credit under my Contributors section.

Q - Are you planning to write any books ?

A - It is not out of the question but as I stated before, I am not the best writer. The only way I would write a book would be if I had a co-writer that had better writing skills than I do.

Q - You use to have listings of soccer teams, softball teams and Cincinnati boxers. Are you planning to add them back ?

A - Well right now I have other fish to fry. I may add soccer and softball teams again, but it will be awhile before I do that. I can tell you with out a doubt that I will not be adding Cincinnati boxers back. Outside of the Rocky movies, I have zero interest in boxing.

Q - What is your favorite sport ?

A - Baseball, Football, Hockey & Basketball......In that order.

Q - I see you have audio and video stuff. Can I buy any of it ?

A - No. I do not sell any of the audio and video stuff you see here. I only trade. For example,  if someone wants one of my Stingers games, then they need to trade something back to me that I really could use. But some games may be worth more than others. I have the radio broadcasts for nine complete Stingers games, but two of those games cost me 50 bucks each. So any trades for such costly games would require something I really want.

Q - I have information that is not on your site. Will you post it if I send it to you ?

A - If someone submits information, there is no guarantee that I will use it. If I do use I will give you credit in my Contributors section.
